Extinguishing Systems. These systems
can reduce risk of fires and dust explo-
sions in production equipment, dust
collectors and pneumatic conveying
systems, according to the company.
GreCon says its Spark Detection System
sensors detect a spark’s infrared radia-
tion and automatically activate program-
mable countermeasures that can include
extinguishing, filter deluge, diverting
hazardous airflow, or triggering auto-
matic machinery shutdown. Extinguish-
ment immediately releases a fine mist of
water downstream, extinguishing sparks
and embers.
