Custom e-Blast submissions:
e-Blast materials should be provided in finished
HTML format.
To be considered finished HMTL, the •
creative must be submitted as a file with an
.html extension.
The HTML file should be set as an attachment.
We would like to try and avoid erroneous •
code that can become added by forwarding.
Images that are not hosted on an external server
will need to be provided separately.
If the images need to be hosted on our end, •
it is preferred that the images be provided
in a zip file along with the other pieces of
associated content.
It is strongly recommended that the HTML be
written using basic HTML in-line styles.
Internal CSS style sheets are not universally •
rendered across the wide variety of email
providers.
Finished HTML should have a ratio of 75% text to
25% images.
We need to account for the email providers •
(i.e. Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail) that do not
allow automatic image downloads.
The text should be compelling to entice the •
reader to click to download the images.
Lower image ratios also help e-Blasts to •
avoid spam filters.
If completed HTML cannot be provided, we are
able to create a basic HTML design for you* by
supplying us with the following materials:
1. A header banner
a. The header banner should be 600-650
pixels wide and between 200-250 pixels
high.
b. The image needs to be supplied in .gif or
.jpg format and be under 130kb.
2. A body of text
a. The body of text needs to be supplied in
selectable format (i.e. PDF, Word doc, or
email) in which the text can be copied and
pasted into the necessary file format.
b. The text needs to be compelling as this will
be the main factor in driving subscribers to
proceed.
c. Please keep in mind that not all email
providers automatically allow subscribers to
download the images.
3. Additional images
a. 2-3 images may be supplied between
100-200 pixels wide and between 100-200
pixels high.
b. The image needs to be supplied in .gif or .jpg
format and be under 130kb.
*Please note that e-Blast creation at this level may incur fees in
addition to the cost of the blast.
